Connah Store Gets Attacked

The Boston Police Department blog reports today that at 3am last night The Connah Store at 464 Hanover Street was the target of a attack by a group of people in search of beer after hours.

At 3:10am this morning a group of males and one female entered the convenience store at 464 Hanover Street and attempted to purchase alcohol. They were informed that alcohol was not sold after 11pm. Upset by the news, one of the males smashed a glass door, took out some beer, dropped the beer and fled the store. A search of the area was made to no avail. District 1 detectives continue to investigate.

A few points here….

  • If you're gonna break windows and steal beer, at least take it with you.
  • The Connah Store is open 24/7? I was unaware.
  • With that bigoted "France Sucks" shirt in the window, it's a wonder this sort of window smashing hasn't happened sooner, and for a more laudable reason than lack of inebriating substances.
