Susan Senator of Brookline wrote in to the Globe this morning to decry the social gentrification of Dorchester:

I found it interesting that the Globe has deemed Dorchester, or ''Dot," the newest hip spot, because as I scanned all four large photos of the bars and restaurants that prove Dorchester's new happenin' ways, all I saw were white faces. Oh, I get it. Dorchester now can be considered hip because young whites are hanging out there
