Well, it was speculated and then confirmed (by the nice people at the White Hen on Hanover) that they are shooting a movie called Stiffs, starring Danny Aiello, in the Paul Revere Mall (better known as the Prado, to locals) in the North End. We didn't get close enough to see much except for large crowds of people milling around and looking bored, and a few cameras and other miscellaneous equipment. The trucks parked all over were the biggest indication that something was going on. That, and the goons parked at either end of the Prado, whose job was to keep innocent bystanders (read: tourists) from passing through a shoot.

We hate our lives being disrupted for Hollywood just as much as the next person (we've had it happen before, thanks to The Time Machine), but we have to admit that it'll definitely be neat to see the Prado (our next-door neighbor!) on the big screen. Let's just hope it's a worthwhile movie.
