Happy International Women's Day, everyone! Please make sure to be especially nice to the women in your life today!

In news that's rather near and dear to our hearts, we're pleased to note that notable chef Marisa Iocco of DePasquale Ventures fame will be volunteering her culinary skills as a benefit for the Women's Lunch Place, located over on Newbury St. Iocco will be preparing a chef's tasting dinner menu, paired with wine, at Mare, her latest restaurant, for the benefit of the WLP. Unfortunately it's too late to RSVP, or we'd tell you to get over here pronto!, in North End Italian, of course. But we can commend Iocco and the DePasquales for doing their part to help out.

Next time, though, perhaps Iocco could cook the meal for the guests of the Women's Lunch Place themselves. We're sure they'd appreciate a delicious, gourmet meal!
