We've never run a marathon, but we have run other races and our mother runs marathons a lot. We're pretty sure that Chicken Sausage is the last thing you'd want "fueling" you during that long 26.5 miles. But, that just adds to the absurdity of the press release we read this morning:

al fresco all natural sausages have been named the Official Chicken Sausage of the Boston Marathon® Pre-Race Pasta Dinner. They will be the exclusive sausage at the 110th Boston Marathon’s pre-race pasta dinner, which will take place Sunday, April 16th.

Yeah. We wonder how much money it would take for Puritan City to be named the official local snark-blogger of the marathon.
