Globe Reporter Internalized Rice Debate Article

By now you've probably all heard about the theological uproar raging at Boston College over the college's descision to invite Condoleezza Rice to speak and receive an honorary degree. There are at least two articles in the Globe this morning about it.

Boooring!

The real story here is the fact that the Globe is now stooping to a new low and plagiarizing itself, to wit from this article:

Nearly 100 faculty members at Boston College have signed a letter objecting to the college's decision to award Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice an honorary degree.

The debate over the Rice invitation underscored tensions between liberal and conservative Catholics.

"This is the only time these people have cited Pope John Paul II on anything," said the Rev. Paul McNellis, who is an adjunct professor in the philosophy department.

and from the other one:

Nearly 100 faculty members have signed the letter, according to the theology department, which declined to release their names.

The debate over the Rice invitation underscores the tensions between liberal and conservative Catholics.

''This is the only time these people have cited Pope John Paul II on anything," said the Rev. Paul McNellis, who is an adjunct professor in the philosophy department.

There's more, but we really can't be bothered to read about "tensions between liberal and conservative Catholics" any longer.
