A man the New York Times dubbed "the Johnny Carson of the training circuit" was indicted today on charges he filed a false report with police. John J. Donovan claimed that on December 17, 2005, he was shot while in his car in Cambridge. He was in fact shot, but police are now saying he either shot himself or had someone else shoot him (multiple times, no less), as this article reports. I know what you're thinking: What kind of batshit crazy is this guy? And well, we think we have an answer for you (from a Forbes article):

Donovan's personal life had grown increasingly troubled in recent years. Last year, he was involved in at least 17 lawsuits, including an allegation of sexual abuse by one of his daughters and a fight in civil court with his five children. He has denied the abuse claim.

Yeah, that kind of crazy. Also, if Donovan claims he died in 1997, don't believe him. Seriously.
