Menino Bashes FCUK Ad
Our painfully prudish mayor is continuing his fashion-based censorship efforts and has put Boston in the national news, yet again, for its puritanical tendencies. This time, it's the French Connection ad in the window of their Newbury Street store, pictured on the left. Our fine mayor was quoted in the Globe:
''The ad campaign both connects and promotes negative images of women and violence, certainly not how we want girls and young women to see themselves, and most definitely not a path we want them to follow,"
The mayor is also reported to have been wearing a t-shirt that said "FCUK Free Speech."
And yes, there is a TV ad to go along with the campaign:
